So how are we supposed to export or import our password file in the "new" Password Manager?

I have a reminder set every month to download what used to be called my ID Safe data. My reminder popped up and I went to download the data in both the .dat and .csv formats and I find the .dat format doesn't even exist anymore and to get a .csv file you have to copy and paste the csv format data from a popup window when you click the export link in the Password Manager webpage.

It's also apparently impossible to import that data back into Password Manager because the only options I see are to import from Firefox or Chrome, and a couple other third party password manager programs.

I have similar concerns but not only that this export has issues regarding imports but also it seems to me to be a security risk as the csv format export file clearly shows all the passwords. All the sensitive information is then copied into the clip-board to be pasted into another application - this does not seem to me to be very secure!

You have to use the Norton GUI and open the online vault. Then you can use the Auto-Backup or export or import manually as DAT or CSV.

It cannot be done through the browser extensions.

I didn't find the Password manager GUI until it became apparent it had to be hiding somewhere because of the screen shot above because Norton appears to have moved it to the new Online Safety drop down menu. If my memory is correct the ID Safe menu was always on the top menu of the NS GUI.

Thanks for that PhoneMan, your response makes sense but seems like I ignored the GUI interface option due to a synchronization issue, that I will post in a separate thread, which is that the changes made in the NPM via the GUI are not synchronized to my Chrome interface although changes make via Chrome do appear in the GUI interface.
