Stand alone Norton Identity Safe

I have installed NIS stand alone but I have not been able to figure out how to import password data from the files that were saved from my uninstall of Norton 360 v5, which I had to remove due to a forced change to a different internet security suite. This new suite does not have any password management capabilities, needless to say I'm lost without NIS any ideas on how to do this?

Welcome,

If you exported your identity safe data to a file before uninstalling 360 there is an import capability in identity safe which may accept that format. Click on the vault down arrow, highlight settings, select import.

Hope this helps

Re: Stand alone Norton Identity Safe

HI pemaldon,

I am not a user of the stand alone ID Safe.  However from what I have read, it is only capable of importing log-in information from browsers as that data is not encrypted.

Please let us know if what Dick suggested works,  I am curious as I would think that the stand alone ID Safe could not import an .npm file.
