Re: Still slow shutdown

Hi cazador31,

According to what was said by Mr Tony Weiss on this link, developers have identified the issue and are working to fix it.

Hopefully as soon as possible.

Re: Still slow shutdown

Hello Cazador31,  On November 3rd Tony Weiss advised "As of this moment, the problem has been identified and the team is working on a fix."  You can follow this issue by reading the topic," long shut down and restart the computer"  There are five pages of conversation on this topic so far.  We are all waiting for the solution of this problem.

Re: Still slow shutdown

Same here, slow slow slow shutdown.  IMMEDIATELY after installing the new Norton Security.  Yet ,when online chatting with support "specialist", he tells me it is "me" not "them"  If there is an issue that's one thing, but to then be told its all my fault....I told him to READ HIS OWN COMPANIES FORUMS to see the shutdown times are upwards of 3 minutes after installing HIS software.I have an Alienware Area 51 ALX, Win 7 64 bit.  Uninstalling....

Re: Still slow shutdown

If it only took 3 minutes to shut my machines down I'd still have NSwB installed but in my case it was taking over twenty minutes on both of my machines.  :(

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Re: Still slow shutdown

I've spent the last hour or two trying to figure out why my notebook shutdown with Windows 7 was taking so long now. I disabled Norton Security and shutdown took about 3 seconds. With Norton Security it takes over 1 min 15 seconds. I came here to see if anyone else was having this problem. I guess I've joined the club.
