Stop the "Scam Insight Personal Information Risk" Messages
I designed a website for a client, and its a brand new site, and NOTHING WRONG with the site. It has been checked by Norton's Systems and clearly says that there is No Risk and No Threat of any kind on the site. Its basically a Pictures and Pages site for a Flower Shop in my area.
I have had the site FULLY VERIFIED and it is inside my account as OK and no issues with the site ownership.
And yet Nortons INSIST on putting up the crap onto the site, and its basically a BLOCK page, and the fact is that MOST PEOPLE would get scared off when seeing it especially when the words SCAM appears at the top of the page along with the website address.
I have reported this countless times probably about 50 times all together and includes Emails, and Online Chats and communications. They always create a "ticket" and claim that they will get back to me. They have in fact several times and on ALL OCCASIONS have flatly refused to stop putting up this notice to the site.
They claim that its a "new website" and not many visitors to the site....
Therefore the Owner of the Site, or the Designer just simply must be Scammers or that notices IMPLIES that the owner is a scammer and asks for Personal Information.
What rubbish this is !!!!! Just because a site is NEW does that mean that the owner of the site or the designer is a scammer of some kind? Is my lovely client (a flower shop owner) a bad person in some way, and deserves to have her site visitors driven off the site? (just because Nortons wish to do so) hmmmmmm?
Countless communications and emails and I have demanded that they STOP this practice or WHITELIST the website and remove the notice and I keep on getting a JESSICA from the "Nortons Escalation Team" flatly refuse to fix this problem. It would be so easy to fix it, and just simply whitelist the website. There is nothing actually wrong with it. Maybe she is not the only one involved. They must all think that they have a power of others complex to rule over the rights of other people.
So what makes Norton the keeper of the web and internet? IF THE SITE WAS DANGEROUS then sure. No one wants to visit a dangerous website. We all want to know about that for sure.
However if the site is PERFECT and NO THREATS how DARE they do this to innocent people.
As far as I am concerned the management and staff involved in this practice should all be FIRED and they do not deserve employment if they cannot use their brain to think clearly.
Symantec is in the California Area as I wrote to the California Attorney General about this, and I don't know if they will do anything about it, and I am guessing not. (It might just be too hard to lift a finger and help other people) So maybe a flood of demands to their office might force the clowns at Symantec to look at this bad practice and STOP DOING IT to innocent people.
This is a disgusting practice and it should stop. If anyone at Nortons actually cares about doing the right thing, then fix this issue.
PLEASE and stop hurting innocent and good people.
