Can someone explain how to tag saved logins in Identify Safe?
Are tags the same as folders?
To tag a login, locate the login and click on edit. At the top of the edit screen, you will see the Tags entry box. Create a Tag you wish to use for that login that helps identify the type of login. ie Shopping, email, etc.
Once you have created tags for your logins, you can find a login from the category you created by searching or browsing the Tags list instead of having to browse your entire vault. Just click on the Vault is Open on the Norton Toolbar, then click Tags.
Yes Tags replaced Folders but does the same thing. Unfortunately these new ID Safe WebExtensions for FF, Edge, Chrome and Vivaldi do not support Tags even though my vault contains Tags which I can access through IE or the Norton UI.
OK I got that thanks.....now how do I access the tags on mobile???? I don't see anything???
Sorry. No tags in mobile for either Android or IOS.
Well that's stupid. I have over 50 logins. Many I share with my wife and many we don't ! I keep the shared ones under a folder named joint and then the others under our names. What is the point of having the tags only on a PC when 90% of the time we are on mobile! It's time Norton gets into the 21st century!!! Oh well I thought Norton would have been a great alternative to the program I'm using now but forget it!
I have an idea that you may want to consider. I realize that you have things working ok on your computer, but you are interested in getting it to work with your mobiles. I realize that you are upset about not being able to use Tags with your mobile devices.
You can create another online vault for your wife. You would both need to have separate email accounts. Then you would have to create the logins for your wife. I don't know if you would want to go thru that hassle though.. It might be a way to make up for the missing tag option which you can not use with mobile devices..
Have a nice night and
Yes I thought of that as a possible solution HOWEVER I then realized it would not work. Any logins that are joint I would have to duplicate on mine and by wife's. If a password gets changed then the person would have to remember to manually change it on the other ones account. Its just wayyyyy too much trouble and will end up creating a big mess!. Thank you for you suggestion but I'm going to have to look elsewhere .
