Tool Bar Not Available With IE 10 64 Bit. Where Did IE 10 32 Bit Go

Can anyone tell me what happened to the 32 bit version of IE when IE 10 installed automatically.  Can anyone tell me how to get IE 10 32 bit version back, so I can use the Norton Tool Bar.

One site told me..Under Internet Options, Security, to disable the Security Mode.  I did this, rebooted, and still no IE 10 32 bit.

Would it be easier to delete IE 10, unchecked the auto update and reinstall IE 9.  Would that return both the 32 and 64 bit versions.

Does Norton plan on making the Norton Tool Bar to work with 64 bit IE 10.

Thanks for any and all help.  I have researched MS and just cannot find an answer.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Tool Bar Not Available With IE 10 64 Bit. Where Did IE 10 32 Bit Go

Hi ,

I appreciate the replies, but the MS link I was directed to go to, applies to Windows 8, I have Windows 7. It says to go to regedit and change the value of TabProcGrowth in the following strig to something greatere than 0.   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\TabProcGrowth.  The problem is TabProcGrowth is not in Windows 7.

If there is a work around for Windows 7 to be able to use 32 bit browers in IE 10 which is using 64 bit...thanks for letting me know.

Uncheck enhanced protection mode in advanced settings. I have IE10 and the browser launches one parent 64 bit and children 32 bit thread. There isn't a separate 64 bit mode like earlier versions.

Thanks...I did uncheck the enhanced protection mode.  It gives the usual warning.  I reboot.  I still only have 64 bit apparently as the Norton Tool Bar with Indentity and Vault will not activate..though Norton is showing as checked for the toolbar.  When I go to  my computer, programs or either programs x86, IE is there in both, but when I click on either application, the same IX 10 64 bit version opens.

I just don't see where it went.  Again I have Windows 7 XP.  The IE automatically  updated from 9 to 10.

Thanks again for any help.

Hi dcgriswo,

Try/verify this:

Tools > Internet IOptions > Advanced Tab > under Browsing >place a check mark in front of Enable third-party browser extentions. Click Apply if you change the setting and then please note a restart of IE is required for it to take effect.

Re: Tool Bar Not Available With IE 10 64 Bit. Where Did IE 10 32 Bit Go

Thanks for the help.  That box is checked.  The Norton Tool Bar will not appear.  For whatever reason, I do not seem to have the 32 bit version of ie 10 or can't find it.  How can I find it.  Some have said it is under program files x86.  The ie application is there  but it is the same one that is under program files....ie 10 64 bit.  Thanks again if anyone knows how I can get the ie 10 32 bit version back on my computer...or steps to take to find it if it is hiding somewhere.  I appreciate any and all help.
