Re: Toolbar in firebox 19

Hi,

Are you still on FF18?  If so, please don't upgrade to FF19 until you receive the patch.  The only thing to do is keep running Live Update and rebooting until you get the patch.

If you have upgraded to FF19 before you received the patch let us know.  This is where we see problems each time Mozilla release the new version.

Thanks,

Dave

Re: Toolbar in firebox 19

If you have run Live Update, restarting where required, until no more updates are available and still haven't received the FF toolbar patch, it might be a good idea to export your ID safe data in both DAT and CSV formats.

We see this problem every time there is an updated version of Firefox released. It is recommended to wait to receive the patch from Norton before installing the new FF.  What often solves this is uninstalling Norton (selecting to save settings) and reinstalling.  No need to run the Norton Removal Tool.  Reinstall from either your Norton Account or from;

Remember to run Live Update, restarting where required, until no more updates are available.  When you are sure you are completely up to date you can then upgrade Firefox.

Let us know how you get on.

Re: Toolbar in firebox 19

Hi,

We have a product update being released, please run live update to get these updates. Post which you will be on 20.3 product version and let us know if toolbar is enabled after the product update.

Hi fjk1

No nothing is wrong with 4 occurences of ccsvchst.exe runinng.   From my Task Manager > Process Tab > All Users selected,  I see the following.  You will notice 2 occurences for  NIS (one user and one System) and 2 occurences for Norton Management (one user and one System).

You're welcome.  I'm glad you got your toolbar back in Firefox.  Next time there is a major upgrade for FF (April 2nd) please check the top of this page for an announcement that a patch has been released before doing the upgrade.  I also suggest you go to Options > Advanced, and change the setting to Check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them.  This will help with getting the Norton patch first.
