Two stage login no longer working

For some time now, since a NIS update a little while ago, one of my websites does not autofill the login details as it did before.

Specifically, the website requires a two stage login - i.e. the first login screen asks for a login id (which Identity Safe correctly fills in for me); this then takes me to a second screen where it asks me to enter my "memorable data" item. Identity Safe used to fill in this too (it is stored as the password), but for some time now it hasn't done so.

The version of NIS I am using is 21.7.0.11, my browser is IE11 (and has been for some time, even when the two stage login autofill worked), and my operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. By the way, I have the same problem on my laptop which runs Windows 8.1, IE11, and the same version of NIS.

The website that no longer autofills the second part of the two stage login is: www.nationwide.co.uk.

Any help, especially from a Symantec employee who has come across this before, would be greatly appreciated.

Hi n2009user27,

First of all I would suggest that you go to the login information and verify that the auto-fill and the auto-submit are both check marked.

If that does not correct things or is already that way, navigate to the URL,  click on Vault Is Open and then under Current Site click on Options and select "Report an issue with this site".   Anew page will open in which you can explain the difficulty you are having - just like you did in your original post here in the forum.  That should get the situation looked at by Norton.

Additional FYI ...

At some future point you should receive an automated acknowledgement regrading your reported "problem website" submission. The acknowledgement, when sent, will go to the email address associated with your Norton account.

I'll add that depending on the actual "what's involved" fix, this process can / may take a while to accomplish.

FWIW, there is a similar issue going on presently with Google account logons, but only if you happen to use the Chromium web browser. The Google logon issue does not occur when using either IE or FF since (at present) the Google logon website only presents the two stage logon process when using Chromium.
