Did you purchase multi-seat license.
I think on duel-boot system.....you'll need to install Norton on each boot drive and each install uses one seat.

Past experience with dual boot systems shows that yes you have to install on both OS installations. But as it is still on one physical computer, it will only use one activation from your subscription.

It has been a long time since I have done this, so please let us know if your experience is different from what I used to see.

Okay, I thought it would work like a VM.

I recall reading the VM uses a seat.

Not sure about specifics of a VM. No experience. But it may be that the VM is not seen by MS or Norton as being on the same physical machine. Which is probably part of the separation for the VM from the host that protects the host system. Thus a seat would be used.

Like I said, it was a few years ago since I had a dual boot setup, so we need to wait for VT to let us know.

FWIW ~ Chat Support
[...]
Chat: If it is dual operating system that it will count 2 seats.
[...]
Chat: If it is 2 different operating system, the it will installed differently and will count 2 seats.
[...]
Chat: If you are building Virtual Machine on device then there will be 2 operating systems and it will also count as 2 seats.
[...]
Chat: Norton does not count seat on the basis of motherboards, it counts seats on the basis of operating system.

Same license/activation key with multi-device license key....each OS uses one seat, as per Chat Support.

That's why I asked "Did you purchase multi-seat license".

If you have "1 device" license key....then you'd need another license key....as per Chat Support: 25-Aug-2019.
