Unread Messages - Message Center

Yesterday, my Norton icon got a blue exclamation mark on it. I right clicked and it says "Unread Messages (1)"  When I click on it, a Message Center window pops up but it is empty and blank.  If I click on the ?? mark it goes to this website which does nothing to help me.  https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/norton-security/22.17.3.50/solutions...

How can I get this blue exclamation mark to go away?

Hello

Can you please post a screenshot of this blue exclamation point? This is how to do it.

Here are the instructions on how to add a image to your post.

And if I click the icon in the taskbar to open Norton, it shows another blue exclamation point and wants me to sign in.  If I sign in, there is nothing there. No messages.  Here is what it looks like when I open Norton.

Re: Unread Messages - Message Center

It looks like Symantec want us to be signed into our Norton Account now.

Edit:  The message probably was, "Sign In".

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

That looks like a number 1, rather than an exclamation point.

Telling you there's one message.

Either way, another Symantec annoyance..........

Oh yes, I think you are correct, it is a number 1.  It's so tiny that it looks like an exclamation point.  Either way, how do I get rid of it?  There is no message to read when I follow all the prompts. It just started a couple of days ago.

And... when I click the Norton icon and select Open Norton Security, it says to "sign in."  When I click "sign in" it tries to connect to Norton servers and fails.  See 2 screenshots attached.  BUT... I can log into my Norton account if I go to their website directly.  I give up. I just renewed for another year so I hope they fix this.

Should I contact Norton Support directly instead of this Forum?  Thank you.

That might be the way to go if Sunil doesn't reply.  http://norton.com/chat

Hi @bmgordon,

Thanks for reporting in Norton Community Forums. Are you still getting "Cannot connect to the Norton Server" when tried to Sign from Norton Security main UI?
