VAULT CLOUD WITH MULTIPLE COMPUTERS

I have always had 2 computers with Norton installed. I was always able to use local vault on multiple computers before. Now second computer cannot use local vault and I created a cloud vault but second computer cannot access it from Norton toolbar. Says password incorrect. I have to go to norton and sign in to access it but no auto logins.  Why this change?

Welcome to the Community

The Cloud Vault is linked to your Norton Account so signing in to your Norton Account is protocol.

When you write there are no Auto Logins.  Do you mean the vault is empty or just not auto filling.

You can only have one Cloud Vault per Norton Account. So, I'll presume you have only one Norton Account.

As you were able to setup Cloud Vault on computer 2

Can you access Cloud Vault on Computer 1 or is that still Local Vault

Same user creds on both Local Vaults before the change to Cloud Vault on Computer 2

Did you merge Local Vault to Cloud Vault on Computer 2

Sorry for all the questions.  Trying to imagine what is happening.

Did you try signing off Norton Account.  Closing Cloud Vault.   Restart w full shutdown not hybrid shutdown

Merge as I understand will remove Local Vault....

You did not supply info why you could not use Local Vault on computer two

  • In the Cloud vault setup complete dialog box, do one of the following:

    • Click Merge to delete your local vault, and sync your local vault with the cloud vault.

    • Click Keep Both to retain your local vault along with your cloud vault.

Norton requires a complete shut down to update when used in Windows 8.1, rather than letting the system go into sleep/hibernate.

bjm, I had to uninstall and then tried to reinstall Norton to the new computer. But now Norton says I cannot download it without buying another license so I am going to use the McAfee that came with computer since I have until next May on the Norton subscription.

Your license issue can be fixed via Support <link> or by going to your Manage Norton account <link>.

I suspect Support would even be able to resolve your vault issue.

I don't why the reinstall was not recognized by the same computer.

If you have used your three license seats and only have two devices.

Support is very good about resolving license seat issues. 

I never liked McAfee product or their support fwiw
