Vault Safef?

Hello,

I recently set up Identity Safe (Vault).

Adding my webpages and passwords.  I just had a concern after seeing that when I logged out of a webpage the Autofill re-added by login and password before I closed the webpage.  This got me thinking if I didn't close the webpage could someone get access to this webpage?     How safe is the Vault with autofill

Someone else such as someone else in your home? Someone else using your pc?

Re: Vault Safef?

As PatsSoxBruins notes, it would only be someone else that has physical access to your computer that might be able to take advantage of a web page left open.

You have to take action to ensure no one gets to your information if there are others around. Closing the browser or locking your computer when you leave it will prevent others from getting access.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Vault Safef?

I think ya'll have misread the OP's post.

He said AFTER he logs out the login and password fields will get populated by the vault.

I see this all the time and believe those field will not be populated when you close that screen and no one will see them when they access that page.

Not sure it has anything to do with what Cham asked - but which browser is your default?

Re: Vault Safef?

Thanks everyone, for your replies.   I really appreciate it.  It was more of a concern if someone hacked into my computer would they see the login and password.  I am guessing if my webpages are not closed the answer would be yes.  I will make sure my vault is locked along with my computer.

Thanks Again

Ms. Cham

Re: Vault Safef?

Hackers do not go after hone users. Usually identity theft happens by clicking on an improper link in an email (such as a phishing scam from a bank). Best practice to stay safe is common sense. Before you login or purchase something be sure that there is a green padlock in the upper left corner of the address bar.
