Webpage does not start at top of page

The following newspaper website has a "typical" login page http://www.theage.com.au/ I use IE9 and Identity Safe to save my password etc. However after logging in, when the page loads it always starts at top then scrolls down. This is very frustrating when you want to read stuff at top of page ! I have now deleted my logon from IS so I can read page properly.

Welcome,

Sorry you are having a problem. I just visited that site and it interacted as I would expect. Have you checked your mouse? Mine started acting very strangely when it got a bit of lint on the lens.

Stay well and surf safe

I should have mentioned that it scrolls down to the exact same location each time, so its not a mouse issue.

I suspect its something to do with the location of the webpage when I saved the password.

Re: Webpage does not start at top of page

Does it move down to about the position shown in the image below?

The place I circled at the bottom is looking for an entry. I have seen Identity Safe filling some log in info into these kinds of boxes on some web sites, and as you are seeing, the page is scrolled down to include that box in the viewable screen.

What might help if this is what is happening to you is after logging in to your account on that page, click on Identity Safe on the Toolbar. Click Options. Click on ignore this page. I'm not sure if this will stop your Auto Login to this page. The next time you go to that page, it should not scroll on its' own.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
