Webpage not available

I am having intermittent problems with internet access; often in the middle of a session.  The message says that "the server at (target) can't be found because DNS lookup failed.."

I've tried the various solutions offered in the error message (i.e., reload, check connections, disable network prediction), but don't know how to implement the possible solution to "Allow Chrome to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings."  Obviously, I'm not very computer saavy.  Will someone please explain this to me?

Re: Webpage not available

Hi, Figman641. Welcome. Have you tried rebooting both the computer and router ? What is your operating system ?

I have NIS, and in Settings/Network/Smart Firewall/Program Rules/Configure, you can set Chrome to Allow.

This is the setting I use for both IE and Firefox. I don't use Chrome.

The setting is similar in Norton 360, and Norton Security.

Re: Webpage not available

Thank you very much!  I set up the Rules/Configure (Windows 7/NIS) and have been smooth since!
