Website Verification for the HTML method using WordPress.

I've uploaded my Norton nortonsw_a19ac2c0-e8e3-0.html file to my http://www.rrengineeringsolutions.com/ root directory & I cannot seem to get this to work. WordPress is still new to me, can you please help?  What am I doing wrong?

Re: Website Verification for the HTML method using WordPress.

Hi trussray and welcome!

I am sorry to hear of the trouble you are having.  Due to the configuration of WordPress sites, you cannot directly access the root folder.

Therefore, http://rrengineeringsolutions.com/nortonsw_a19ac2c0-e8e3-0.html cannot be found.

Please temporarily add the 128 character authentication code in plain text near the bottom of your home page.

Although this method will not allow for the automated verification, it should assist the Safe Web team in manually verifying your site.

Let me know when you have completed this step and I will notify the Safe Web team.

To be notified by email when a reply is posted, go to My Settings > Preferences and check the box for: "Automatically Subscribe Me to Topics I Participate In".

Ok done, I added it to the bottom of the page.

Since we're doing this, I've got a second website I'd like to verify.  www.screenrays.com I've added the specified code to the bottom of this page as well.  Can you please have this one verified too.

Regards,
Ray

Since the Safe Web team has verified ownership of http://rrengineeringsolutions.com/  you may remove the plain text code from  the bottom of that website.
