Everytime I open Firefox the Customize window has to be opened and closed for the Norton Toolbar to be fully functional.
Is this the normal bahaviour?
Hi,00360. It happens to me in Firefox, too. Also, in previous versions of Firefox.
It just displays the placeholder instead until I hit Customize, and then the Norton tick displays correctly.
Reinstalling of both FF and Norton, did not solve the iussue.
Maybe someone from Norton can help ?
@Gayathri_R @Mohan_G @Sunil_GA
ANYONE from Symantec care to comment ?
Hi @360 & @F 4 E,
Could you please post screen shot with issue description? Also, Norton Product name and version details installed.
1) Opening FF shows Norton Toolbar as in Capture_1. But, clicking either "THIS PAGE IS SAFE" or "THREE DOTS" shows nothing. - It's just like a place-holder.
2) Opening the "Customize" window, as Capture_2 shows, and then closing it, makes the above cited items functional. The respective pane shows up.
3) Also, the search text-field, in the Norton Toolbar - Sometimes, after opening FF, it appears and other times it's gone (randomly).
Win 10, 64 bit (latest updates)
FF version 46.0
Norton 360 Premier version 220.127.116.11
Is FF 46 out already? I don't use FF.
Hi, @Sunil_GA. This is what we see on launching Firefox. Instead of the Norton tick top right, all that is shown is the placeholder.
You have to hit the hamburger icon top right of screen and enter Customize, which shows the icon correctly. Then by hitting exit Customize, the Norton tick is correctly displayed. Using NSwB V 18.104.22.168
Without doing anything, my toolbar now looks like this ! Identical to IE and Chrome ! Is this magic ? @Sunil_GA ?
However, on the next launch toolbar is back, top right ! I give up !
