Why did I get an email from Norton in Spanish?

I got an email from Norton in Spanish.

It's strange because my language setting is English.

Is it a spam or scam email? I guess not as it's a valid Norton domain link.

It certainly would be terrible if the Norton Security Premium software I download and install turns out to be Spanish! I won't be able to understand it.

Hopefully Norton gets this glitch resolved.

Usually genuine emails will refer to you by name rather than client (assuming cliente is Spanish for client/user). Another giveaway is if you hover the mouse cursor over any links it'll show the real web address which with fake email is usually different from what's written.

Did you just purchase your Norton? This could be a confirmation email.

But why was it in Spanish? You say your settings are for English, but in what country did you purchase your Norton? If it was in a Spanish speaking country, that would explain it. To see if you can straighten this out, you can contact Norton Support via chat and explain the situation and ask if they can change the language preference on your account.
