What browser are you seeing this happen with? Also what OS are you using? Norton will not set your homepage to anything other than your settings unless you grant it permission during the initial setup. Your default search engine would then be Ask . com Windows may be the culprit not Norton.
I'm on a HP, windows 7, using yahoo/ Internet explorer. This evening when I logged on my home page had been changed to MSN from Yahoo. At the bottom was the message " Your default homepage was reset by your security software" ????
More likely to have been done by Microsoft. Do you have Defender enabled, as Norton would normally disable it.
windows defender is off

Woody what is your default search engine set to in IE? If Norton safe search is set as your default and no others are in the list, look at the bottom left of the screen and click on "Find more search providers". You can then select a new one on the page that opens AND set it as the default. You will need to restart IE once you have done so.
Yahoo is probably getting changed by your security software because Yahoo.com is not a very safe site. Yahoo has been hacked several times. MNS is supposed to be a safer site.
Have a Nice Day and
