Windows XP

I removed Symantec Endpoint Protection from my reliable old XP box, and installed Norton Security (yhad to, lost my SEP license through my employer). Norton Security appears to have wrecked the user profiles (when I log in each time, it tells me it can't access my profile and its going to create a new temporary profile) and none of my stuff is accessible from my original setup. Also, some applications that were previously installed and working have been removed - the West Mountain Radio sound devices are now GONE (this is a ham radio - based PC, running Echolink). Please advise how to unwreck my PC and get it working again!

Re: Windows XP

Hello

How did you remove SEP from your computer? Did you first uninstall it using the control panel method, restart, then use the SEP removal tool, restart.

Then download the Norton program and enter your product key when requested to. Remember to run Live Update several times restarting when requested to. After you have received all updates and patches, restart it once more for good luck.

Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.17.3.50 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.
