www-searchings.com, browser hijack

Im having major issues with my PC.  I appear to have been hijacked by www-searchings.com on all my internet browsers, and cant seem to find, or remove it at the moment.

It is affecting both Firefox, and Edge. PC is running windows10..

Everytime I start either, it defaults to www-searchings.com, no matter what I set my homepage to..

It also appears to be greatly slowing the internet on that PC, and opening random pages while trying to browse.

Am concerned I have spyware on my system, and am at risk!!

Any scans, from Norton Security turn up nothing, and searches of the Norton site also turn up nothing, including power eraser.

Im hoping someone here has come across it, and knows how I can get rid of it..

I am getting extremely frustrated, and am contemplating a complete wipe, and reinstall..

Re: www-searchings.com, browser hijack

I would suggest a second opinion scan using the FREE version of Malwarebytes. You can find it here http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

Be sure you do not accept the offer of the free trial of the Premium version. You can disable the trial version from the Accounts tab in Malwarebytes. That will ensure you do not have the real time protection enabled, that could conflict with your Norton product if not set up properly.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Also make sure that it doesn't start with Windows. Remember to update the program.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.
