No I found, that YesSearches belongs to a group of virus extentions on:www . virus- entferner . de/2016/06/10/b%C3%B6sartige -browsererweiterungen- entfernen/ Can I delete this extension with Norton Security? If I install Norton security can it protect my PC from such extensions?

Re: YesSearches Extension problem

1. Personally, such stubborn & highly risky adware has the power to re-write the Hosts file in Windows, which could be installed along with some adware setup file. This how-to page "Lock, Manage, Edit Hosts File in Windows 10 / 8 / 7" will upgrade your computer skill to the next level. Meantime, learn how to keep riskware at bay using Google's VirusTotal, such as proactive tips for performing the custom install of a 3rd-party program.

Please review the original Hosts file for Windows 7 below. Or, you can reset the Hosts to its factory value like the one (mine) below, if you do NOT detect the install of "yes searches" in the programs list and/or add-ons manager. Then such action can be determined as Host File Hijack.

Using Win 10? View the following IMG for reference.

Read Microsoft's official Hosts repair guide@ https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/972034

Usually, you too need to check out the Properties of your hijacked browsers, such as IE 11, erase the annoying "tail" behind it.

2. Please report that domain to CloudFlare@ https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200167716-How-do-I-file... & Godaddy@ https://supportcenter.godaddy.com/AbuseReport?ci=

  • Hostname: yessearches.com
  • IP Address:104.25.99.11 (delete this IP from the said Hosts, if you will find it)
  • Organization:CloudFlare
  • ISP/Hosting:CloudFlare

Last but not least, you can contact the official Norton Support for remote help. Web Team may take a closer at that risky IP as well: https://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yessearches....

Edit: that company has a sister site@ nuesearch .com
