Annoying Norton poblem has returned

I thought this problem, about which I have posted before, had been resolved but it is back again. It keeps blocking & deleting downloaded software, for what I regard as no valid reason (ie. it is a new program ofr just a new version). What is worse it keeps on doing this even after I have restored it and designated it as 'trusted'.

It may be my fault, perhaps a setting has somehow got altered. I would welcome advice.

As a result I have given up on some programs. The latest victim of this vandalism is Windows Store Explorer which I cannot now use.

Hello

Just go to Windows Store and enter Store Explorer in the Search box.

It looks like it is for Win10.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Yeah, I wasn't able to "Get the app".

Re: Annoying Norton poblem has returned

I should have said my OS is Windows 10, I usually do but I have now got so used to W10 after almost a year maybe I am taking it for granted. I find all apps for W8/8.1 have worked on my W10 but not vice versa. I have just checked and Store Explorer is OK at the moment.

Re: Annoying Norton poblem has returned

@Clayto: I did the following test on a VM based Windows 10; the version info of Norton Security is 22.6.0.142, just BTW.

My test shows that NS did not block the download & install of Store Explorer.

(You can manually adjust or disable Norton's real-time protection, then try again.)

Contacting Norton Support can fix your trouble the efficient way.
