The Most Powerfull Word
One simple word.
Perhaps my last post on this planet and it is brief (for once and ONLY once), and is the most difficult for me to put into words. IMO, the most powerful word is perhaps the shortest. It is the most used (and often unappreciated) in any language in the world today and is the word "be". Never stop trying to "be". It is IMO, the 'loftiest' of goals ... to be.
Do not worry too much and never stop trying to do the best that you can. It's tough, but there is a reason. Be your own person. Don't be a follower ... nor a leader. Be as humble as you can, and try to appear that way. We ARE only human, are we not?. We are not infallible and never will be otherwise. Although, we try. Trying is a good thing. Never stop trying.
On the last occasion that I spoke to my Grandmother, a person that was often thought of as "common". I asked her, "Nanny, I need your advise, I need your help." She was a school teacher, born in the late 1800s. She stopped me in mid-sentence, put her fingers to her lips to tell me to 'hush' and said, "Just have fun, don't be too hard on yourself and never lie, and you will never, EVER be sorry." She told me to just be 'my self'. She knew what I was facing. She always said that and I cried, shamed again.
Moments before my Father died at home with dignity he told as I was leaving his bedroom, "Herb, I wish I had gotten to know you better." We ALL lose sight sometimes. It is expected, try not to feel too bad about that, and don't be too hard on yourselves. It is a 'rough neighborhood' for all of us.
"Realize". Try to be what you were meant to be. Never stop trying. We ARE only human. We all do what we can to cope.
Peace, Love, and Dignity. Realization to all. Speech is a difficult thing. I hardly ever opened a book after class in any school. Mathematics was always my worst subject ... still is. I chose technology for all the wrong reasons and it was used for bad things ... still is. I believed Spock ... still do. Thank goodness for speel checkers. They are smarter than me.
My name is Vonzant. Many know me as Herb. Many more know me as Article_86 <<< unauthorized absence from appointed place of duty. I am not crazy, but sometimes I think that I am. I love you all. Learn about the id, the ego, and the super-ego. Realize that we all come from the same place. Try not to let the world change you ... from what you were in the beginning. "Realize" ... that is my #2 word. May the "Force" be with you.
Your pal, Article_86. Over, but never out. I love you all. Really. I am just a man ... nothing special about me. - Art
Oh, BTW. Never stop trying. [Have I said that before?] We can not help ourselves sometimes ... but never stop trying ... to be. Look for help ... Help is not a bad thing. BE. Realize that you are never alone. I have never had children. Ever. For a reason. I feel that you are all ... my children. . Remember that ... you are loved by many. Try not to feel alone. You love for a good reason ... it is not a bad thing. I am not a "religious" man ... never was, really ... and that perhaps, may be a good thing too ... I do not know. Maybe I will find out. I should have tried harder. Really.
Last story: I heard this once, and have never forgotten, repeated often by me [big surprise there, eh?] ... I will l try to keep this short.
There once was an Indian princess ... It was a cold winter and she was out gathering fire wood. She went to pick up a stick and accidentally picked up a snake that did not make it to his underground hole to hibernate in time for the winter. She realized what it was immediately but took him home with her. She loved all animals. Well, she warmed him up and nursed him back to life and he never left her side. One day when she was feeding him, he bit her on the cheek. As she lay there, dying, she asked him why after all her care and compassion for him he wanted to kill her. He said, "After all, I am a snake ... bitch." She was not angry.
Save often and don't forget your backups.
