Back up question

I'm hoping beyond hope someone can help me.

I have a story in Windows 7 Word 2010. I have a USB and ClickFree along with Norton back-up. Until yesterday, everything was great. Installing the USB, I received "files corrupted or unreadable." Checking my ClickFree, the story was there. I felt so much better until I took it to Geek Squad asking them to transfer the files so I could use them.

They told me the files were gone.

Telling them I had Norton back-up, he said it won't do any good. Out of 2.0 available space, there's still 1.9 left. To say I'm upset is being nice as the Norton back-up worked for me previously. Now they tell me they need to send the Click Free to Kentucky and maybe, just maybe, my files can be retrieved. I have no idea what to think or who to trust.

Do you have any idea what I should do?

Re: Back up question

Hello

What specific Norton backup service are you using?

Re: Back up question

I'm sorry I haven't replied sooner but I really had some problems with Geek Squad and their "help." I have Norton 360.

The reason I'm asking is because of what I was told by them. Never having a problem with Norton in the past, now I wonder if the Geek Squad know what they're talking about. All he told me was that something may be wrong with the backup because of the amount of space available on it.

I figured it was better to ask you as I've discovered he doesn't seem to know what he's talking about.

Re: Back up question

If the matter is still open this type of thing would require a live support session. If you have space used there is data stored online most likely. Shoot me a reply if you still need help and we'll get you squared away. Without disparaging another company there is a high chance they were trying to upsell another service.
