Anyone have “The Secret Formula” for getting NIS2012 and FF 18.0.1 to play nice together?

Firefox 18.0.1, NTB 2012.5.10.1, NVP 11.1.1.5 – 2

With Norton FF extensions installed / enabled...

FF Password manager becomes enabled (by itself) and the FF PM option box becomes checked, and greyed-out, and cannot be changed.  NTB prompts to disable FF PM every time the browser is started, but fails to disable it.  It stops prompting if the “Don’t ask again options is selected”, but FF PM prompts to remember PWs.

With Norton FF extensions installed / disabled...

FF Password manager is disabled, FF PM option box is unchecked, not greyed out, and can be changed as desired.

This new problem started with the FF 18 to 18.0.1 update. Is this a known Norton issue?  I’m getting the exact same behavior on four different computers using different Windows OS versions and bit architectures.  I'm not having this problem with IE9, IE10, or the current Chrome version on any of the four systems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

John,

Can I make book on the fact that you also asked Mozilla what they did to Firefox 18.01 to make this happen and asked them "for a change-up, how's about hiring programmers that actually know what the H they're doing!" ?????  From what you are saying the same Firefox 18 function did not work correctly either.

If it works with IE and Chrome, seems to me the chances of something being incorrect would lie with FF??

The above post is totally tongue in cheek and is made to only show there are two sides to every situation.  It reminds me of when the OP removed their Norton Product and their system returned to fast,  so the slowness was Norton's fault. Then the OP reinstalled Norton and the system slowed down. Then the OP removed Kaspersky and the system returned to fast!
