Re: Is this area under attack?

something to do with the World Cup. Perhaps MacDonalds are offering three for the price of two?

I'm reported them to a moderator

Re: Is this area under attack?

sorry for being frivolous, Yank.

I've just tried to report it via Live Chat at Norton. I know that that's not the normal route but this isn't a normal incident and being the weekend what's happening could become a serious headache - I know another PC forum that had the same problem.

Here's the Live Chat record - I've not identified the adviser although I have details if anyone here wants them. Was I over-the-top?

ME: URGENT URGENT URGENT can you get an urgent message to someone that the Symantec Community Forum seems to be under attack from an arabic source. http://community.norton.com/ I'm Taffy078

XXX: Hi! Welcome to Norton Support. My name is XXX. I'm sorry however, we do not have an option to send a message through email and that we are only technically trained to fix issues with the Norton program on the computer. May I know how can you say that the forum website has been under attack?

ME: it's filling up with threads in arabic. Please Trust me. Surely some manager there has an emergency contact route!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ME:   can't a manager phone someone?

XXX: Have you tried using another browser to check if you are still having the same result?

ME: for god's sake check it for yourself!!!!! Surely your manager has a PC with access to the internet and can check it?  Forget it. I'll email this conversation to Mr Tony Weiss.

Re: Is this area under attack?

Sorry everyone. We got hit pretty hard there. I think I removed most of the posts, and I'm working to prevent them from coming back. Thanks for letting me know about these spammers.
