Norton toolbar Icon

Vault Closed

Vault Open

The above images show a section of my Norton toolbar when the vault is closed (top image) and open (bottom image).

Should I have an icon where the blue rectangle is in the "closed" image?  The blue rectangle only appears when I hover over the location of it.

Re: Norton toolbar Icon

Hello David,

I believe you may have found a bug.

When the ID Safe Vault is closed, you should see a gray vault icon.

I am able to duplicate your issue in IE10 if the Norton toolbar is minimized (no text).

  • No vault icon.
  • Blue rectangle on mouse over.

However, when the toolbar is not minimized, the icon displays correctly:

Re: Norton toolbar Icon

Phil_D, could you please clarify what you mean by "minimized" and "not minimized" in this instance.

Re: Norton toolbar Icon

Hello David,

My terminology comes from earlier toolbar versions which had an option to show just the toolbar icons and no text.  This was called minimized.  That feature is no longer available.

I was able to force the toolbar to display only icons, by placing the IE menu bar onto the same row and cramming it against the Norton Toolbar until the text disappeared. It appeared in your screenshot that the Norton Toolbar had been minimized.

Hope that helps!

Re: Norton toolbar Icon

Oh I wish I could minimise my toolbar - in IE10, Firefox and Google Chrome, the Norton toolbar is always 100% of the width of the browser dragging other toolbars on top does not work, so you just end up with a lot of wasted space and even less room for the browser page...
